Antique Framed Bread Linen II

In restaurants in France and Belgium, the first thing that goes on the table is a wicker basket of bread. These baskets are lined with linen and are usually oval or round. This antique framed print is made from an old basket with the linen taken out. It acquires a delightful patina from the oils and ingredients of the bread transferring onto the linen. The linen piece is then cut and framed in white with no glass so you can see the amazing texture. Each one is unique and retains their own story.
