Product Description
This is THE classic French Bistro chair. Originally introduced in 1859, it was the world’s first mass-produced item of furniture. Its predecessor would have had a seat made of woven cane “because the holes in the seat would let spilt liquid drain off the chair.” This classic was made using bent wood or “steam-bending” and was manufactured in the latter half of the 20th Century by Poland-based company, Fameg. This style of chair has been referred to as one of the "most famous chairs in the world" and can be seen in such films as "Cover Girl" (1944), "The Fallen Idol" (1948), "Cabaret" (1972), "Poltergeist" (1982), and "La La Land" (2016).
