Whether you’re planning a cozy dinner party or a festive celebration, creating a warm and welcoming environment is key. From setting the perfect table to curating a delicious menu, these hosting tips from our Brand Manager & avid entertainer, Jennie, will help you elevate your holiday gatherings and make every moment magical. 



 Seasonal Florals


Forcing bulbs can be a long lasting and gorgeous addition to your holiday table or buffet. Begin by picking up a few seasonal favorites such as amaryllis or paperwhite narcissus from your local garden center. If you don’t have a container that can hold water, utilize a smaller container within that container such as a jam jar or glass vase. 


Drainage is key, so fill the base of your container with pebbles or small rocks. Next pile on a bit of potting soil. Nestle your bulbs into the soil, “whiskers” side down. Cover with a bit of dirt and finish with pieces of decorative moss. 



Being sure to keep your plants in a warm, well-lit room and the soil moist, you can expect bulbs to bloom in about 4 weeks. Consider bringing a collection of complimentary vessels together and utilizing bulbs of the same color.

The Power Of A Good Throw & Napkin Ring


As you’re planning for guests coming over for the holidays, think about the little steps you can take in making the environment warm & welcoming. Our Belgian Table Throw can be used on on the back of a chair or the edge of a bed, but is also an incredible way to add warmth to your tabletop. Napkin rings can sometimes be looked at as fussy—we think of it as the exact opposite. Food As Display


A classic wedge salad offers up a crisp, refreshing flavor to your holiday table and is inherently easy to portion out to your guests as each head of iceberg lettuce yields a quarter of a head per dinner guest. The addition of fresh red and green vegetables makes it beautiful enough to be your table’s centerpiece. Add a dash of green goddess salad dressing and every plate will look remarkably red and green.

Winter Wedge Salad Recipe


Salad: serves 8

  • 2 x heads of iceberg lettuce, cored and quartered
  • Radishes, sliced paper thin
  • Cucumbers, sliced thin
  • Red d’Anjou pears, sliced to your liking

Green Goddess Salad Dressing:

  •  2 teaspoons anchovy paste or 2-4 canned anchovies
  •  1 small garlic clove, minced
  •  ¾ cup good mayonnaise
  •  ¾ cup sour cream
  •  ½ cup chopped parsley
  •  ¼ cup chopped tarragon
  •  3 tablespoons chopped chives
  •  2 tablespoons lemon juice
  •  Salt and pepper to taste


Blend all of the ingredients together in a blender or food processor until evenly smooth, about 30 to 45 seconds.
